Market Opportunity
AGI Dermatics is dedicated to serving the $15 billion worldwide skin care market, as well as the $5.7 billion prescription dermatology market. We focus on photoaging and skin cancer, which is an increasing problem in the U.S. and worldwide. In the U.S., 58 million Americans have precancers (called actinic keratosis) and 1.3 million new cases of skin cancer are diagnosed each year. Most of these are directly related to sun exposure, and the suncare product market is $4.7 billion and growing at 13 percent per year. Add to this the market for cosmetic services such as Botox, fillers and cosmetic surgery, and it is apparent that the demand is exploding.
Dimericine®
AGI Dermatics makes products to meet this growing need in dermatology. The company's first drug is Dimericine (T4N5 Liposome Lotion), a new topical drug that contains a DNA repair enzyme that reverses the damage to skin DNA caused by solar UV exposure.
Cosmetic Ingredients
AGI Dermatics produces innovative ingredients that are found in prestige cosmetic lines around the world; half of the company's sales are international. Throughout its 20-year history, AGI Dermatics has demonstrated in two important ways that its products work: published clinical studies and the incorporation of its ingredients into hundreds of cosmetics. The studies and widespread use also confirm that these ingredients are safe. Finally, the metric tons of product shipped from the company's factory each year show that AGI Dermatics successfully manufactures at a commercial scale.
